It seems a lot of you out there are still using an old version of Internet Explorer so when I'm developing a new website I like to know it works and looks the same in IE6 as it does in IE7.

However its not possible to have multiple versions of Internet Explorer installed on the same PC and running at the same time so the way round this on a Windows Vista machine is to install Microsoft Virtual PC.

This enables you to run different operating systems and IE versions via a virtual hard disk image - ideal for testing purposes!

There are a number of separate VPC images available for testing IE versions.

Its no secret I like to use Joomla as a my prefered content mangement system for websites and while I originally opted to use Joomla 1.0 for my own website the benefits of upgrading to the newer Joomla 1.5 version were just too inviting.

So having installed the migrator component and followed the instructions I'm glad to say the upgrade went perfectly, no hitches at all - had the job done in no time! I even decided to testdrive a new template design while I was at it. Of course that's the beauty of  Joomla if you fancy a new design its just a matter of switching templates, a few CSS tweaks and everything falls into place.
